Standard Features

•Modified tunnel runner (MTR), with steep 38 degree entry on the front sponsons for rough water use, tapering to the transom with a 22 degree vee and a flat 3” running pad. The sponsons also feature 3 steps per side, resulting in higher obtainable speeds. The center sponson is stepped and raised at the transom to aid in handling at high speeds. Rough water use has always been a high priority in design criteria at Cougar and the 27 MTR strictly follows that commitment.
•Front seats are on powder-coated pedestal bases for easy cleaning and more leg room.

•All hardware is custom powder-coated and color keyed for maximum eye appeal and the most durable finish.
•All fasteners and hardware are stainless steel.
•Engine compartment is flo-coated for outstanding appearance and easy clean up.
•All motors are mounted to stringers with heavy duty powder-coated thru bolted “I” brackets with powder-coated washers.
•Power steering and power trim.
•8" setback and 4” hydraulic jackplate on all O/B setups.
•Waterproof “Sirius ready” Clarion CD player.
•4- 7.7” Clarion marine speakers come standard.
•Wiring and hoses are routed and loomed to the transom and dash in a show quality finish.

Construction of Hull and Deck for Cougar Custom Boats 27 MTR
•Completely hand laminated using AME 4000 isothelic resin.
•NPG isothelic gel coats with built in U.V. light inhibitors for a harder, brighter, fade resistant finish.
•All hulls are skinned by laying a 1 oz. cloth to prevent print through.
•Hull is 100% composite construction for strength and long lasting durability.
•All strakes are filled with poly-bond for superior strength.
•Moisture resistant 100% composite stringers.
•Deck and hull fully are core matted.
•Deck and hull are fully bonded around the entire inside for a completely unitized construction.
Cougar Custom Trailer
•Heavy duty 2x6 box tube frame.
•Fully fitted and balanced for the boat being carried.
•Suspension is a 4 wheel independent torsion bar (no low hanging leaf system to snag or rust, and it also puts much less stress on the tow vehicle).
•Radial tires on chrome modular wheels with a spare tire and rim.
•Deluxe polished aluminum step pads on the front and rear.
•Custom painted with industrial grade DuPont Imron polyester paint to match the boat being carried.
